Thirty-five locations in Japan.
The next one is in Texas.
We are the U.S. arm of a Nagoya restaurant group, developing our first yakiniku — Japanese tabletop-grill barbecue — restaurant in North Dallas.
The group in Japan
M-First Co., Ltd. (有限会社エムファースト) was registered in Nagoya in 2005 and operates restaurants and relaxation salons across Aichi and Gifu prefectures — eight brands, thirty-five locations.
These are not small rooms. Six of the group's restaurants seat more than 145; the largest seats 210 and parks 200 cars. Building and running a big suburban box on a highway pad is what the parent company does at home, and it is what we intend to do in Texas.

What we are looking for
We are looking across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, with a focus on the northern suburbs — Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, The Colony and the corridors around them. We are ready to sign on the right site — there is no financing approval to wait on — and plan to open in 2027.
- From 2,000 SF, and bigger is welcome. Around 3,000 SF fits our current plan of ninety seats with a grill at every table. Our restaurants in Japan run past 200 seats; we are not looking for a small room.
- Visibility and parking matter more to us than layout. A major corridor, signage that reads from the road, and a lot we can fill.
- Freestanding, pad site or end-cap preferred. Inline considered.
- Gas and exhaust are what we check first. Every table has a gas grill, so the space needs natural gas service and a Type I hood with make-up air sized well beyond a single cookline. A former Korean BBQ, yakiniku or hot pot space is ideal because that is already in place. Shell space is also considered.
If you are not sure whether a space fits, send it anyway. We would rather look at fifty and pass on forty-nine. Brokers and landlords are welcome to contact us directly.
